Inspired art courses and workshops are based in Devon UK and run throughout the year. Our programme includes residential painting weekends and 4 or 6- day fully residential painting holiday courses. Our residential courses are all full time with optional evening sessions so you can really immerse yourself in painting. We also run non-residential day and afternoon workshops. As well as our advertised programme, we can organise courses for small groups of painters with dates and content to suit your group. These can concentrate on any aspect of our local landscape or surroundings, and have a focus on outdoor sketching, studio work or a mix of the two. Beginners and experienced painters are equally welcome; do contact us for more information or to discuss the possibilities for your group.
Your art tutor, Catherine Stott, is also a keen gardener, and has exhibited her vibrant paintings of gardens in many UK locations. Courses cover different aspects of learning to paint gardens and flowers as well as wider views of the landscape. Residential painting courses and day workshops in painting and mosaic run from the artist's studio in Bampton, Devon at Weston House which also has AA 4 star accommodation. Bampton is in a beautiful area on the edge of Exmoor, easily accessible from the M5 and by main line train to Tiverton Parkway. You may wish to extend your break to explore this lovely part of Devon- we offer very reasonable add-on rates for our course members. See our location page for more information.
