Catherine Stott, artist and course tutor, works from studios in Northumberland and mid-Devon, painting the beautiful gardens of the surrounding area, as well as landscapes and local festivals and events.
She has been artist in residence at Hexham Abbey and at the Morpeth Folk Gathering, taken part in art events at Crook Hall and Alnwick Gardens and has exhibited paintings inspired by gardens poetry and music in England and southern Scotland.
Catherine has taught day workshops in gardens, and worked with adult art club groups, schoolchildren and families. She now teaches from spacious studios in both locations, which can accommodate workshop groups. In spring and summer, local gardens and nearby countryside are used as inspiration as part of the workshop experience.
