Art Courses are generally suitable for beginners as well as those with more experience, as teaching ratios are kept small and each participant receives plenty of individual attention.

Northumberland courses run from the Byre Studio a converted farm building in countryside close to the historic market town of Hexham. Workshops make use of the studio, the surrounding landscape and local gardens. Courses are not residential but there is plenty of tourist accommodation locally, and also many attractions to extend your break, and for non-painting partners. More...

Devon courses are based at the artist’s studio in Bampton close to the Devon/ Somerset border, and are easily accessible from the M5 and by main line train to Tiverton Parkway. In Autumn and Spring each year we take advantage of the seasonal highlights of the many beautiful gardens close by.
